Splash Pad

Summer Bucket List #11: Humboldt Park Splash Pad

Fantastic Friday means Jen has off work and is always up for an outing. We decided to meet for an hour or so at the Humboldt Park Splash Pad after Cole's morning nap today. We invited Aunt Kathy to walk over and join us. It's definitely not as fancy as Wirth Park or Hoyt Park, but it was a great way to cool off in a low key setting.

Cole absolutely loves water, but whenever he's in these situations (tons of kids all around him, running and splashing) he needs time to warm up. He's that kid that LOVES splashing, but when others splash him he's not a happy camper. Noah was sooo patient with him. I got the feeling Noah was really wanting to splash and play, but Cole just wasn't having it.

By the time we were ready to leave, almost two hours later, Cole was finally getting warmed up and ready to go. He started chatting, splashing and waving at all the other kids. Oh well, what are you going to do. Either way, I had the opportunity to catch up with Jen and snag a few rays!
